This project covers design documentation for a small chapel near Vladimir Bridge on Valaam Island, commissioned for the Spaso-Transfiguration Valaam Monastery. The structure follows a traditional brick vocabulary with expressive arches and a stone plinth; key materials include red brick, black granite, limestone, a copper roof, and a gilded dome with a cross. My scope included BIM modeling in Revit, production-ready visualizations for coordination, and working drawings suitable for fabrication and construction. Particular attention was paid to geometric accuracy of details, legibility of brick bonding and profiles, and the integration of the mosaic icon into the niche while preserving the canonical image, proportions, and placement. The workflow provides predictable construction outcomes, controlled specifications, and a single source of truth for all stakeholders. Project author: lead architect Yuri V. Kirs, Architectural Studio “Eidos”. Client: Spaso-Preobrazhensky Valaam Stauropegial Monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church. Project role: contributor - Revit 3D modeling, visualization, working drawings.
