Repair and restoration project for the bearing roof structures above the Duma Hall of the federal-level heritage site “Tauride Palace”, Saint Petersburg. The scope covers the steel roof truss zone forming the primary bearing contour and supporting the skylight structure. The system dates to the early 20th century and preserves the historic metal framework. Based on site inspections and previous condition surveys, the key issues include widespread corrosion and localized deformations, loss of fasteners, deterioration of protective coatings, and an unfavorable temperature-humidity regime around the skylight that leads to heavy condensation. The project proposes conservation and repair measures for steel elements, renewal of the roof cladding within the defined area, and a new infill assembly along the lower chords of the cantilever trusses around the perimeter (supported by a basic thermal assessment). The solutions are coordinated with the earlier scientific design documentation for the skylight repair and microclimate normalization (2019). Design: 2020. Contribution: Author, leading architect. 3D/BIM modeling (Revit), visualization, working documentation. Client: Architectural Studio “Eidos”.
