About the project

A launch microsite for The Count of Monte Cristo - Volume I: The Fall of Edmond Dantès and the presentation of Eyeball Comics' full twelve-volume graphic adaptation.

The main goal was not only to show the book, but to clearly separate three layers of information: the already published Volume I, the planned twelve-volume series, and the publishing project itself. Visitors should understand immediately what is available now, what is planned next, and how this edition differs from a shortened retelling of the novel.

The site is built as a long visual narrative: a cinematic opening hero, a presentation of Volume I, story beats, finished spreads and physical-edition photography, the structure of the future twelve-volume series, the Eyeball Comics project story, and a direct path to Amazon purchase. A dedicated hero composition was also prepared for the mobile version.

Challenge

Create a site that launches the already published first volume while also presenting the scale of the planned twelve-volume series, without implying that the remaining volumes are already published.

Solution

The solution was a long-form editorial microsite built around sequential storytelling. The published Volume I is presented as the hero product, future volumes are shown separately as a planned series, and the visual sections lead visitors from atmosphere and story into the physical edition and purchase.

What was implemented

  1. 01

A cinematic responsive hero with a dedicated mobile composition.

  2. 02

Presentation of the physical book, finished spreads, and edition specifications.

  3. 03

Interactive galleries and carousels for browsing materials and future volumes.

  4. 04

A dedicated twelve-volume section with a clear distinction between published and planned volumes.

The Volume I section presents the already published first volume as the main current product.
Narrative cards show how the site uses sequential visual storytelling.
The physical edition section combines book photography with key specifications of the printed volume.
The twelve-volume section explains the structure of the project and separates Volume I from future releases.
The mobile collage shows the hero composition, Volume I presentation, and visual narrative section.
The second mobile collage shows interactive spreads, the physical edition, and the series structure.

Business value

  • A single complete destination for launching the book, presenting the project, and receiving promotional traffic.
  • Visitors quickly understand the scale of the series and the status of Volume I.
  • The physical edition is presented as a real product, not only as a digital concept.
  • The site structure can evolve together with the release of future volumes.
