Swan Lake Square on Kamennoostrovsky

The square at the intersection of Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt and Malaya Posadskaya Street is an open urban space of about 0.2 ha. The composition is built around the “Swan Lake” fountain, presented by the French company CFA UNICEM for Saint Petersburg’s 300th anniversary. Surrounded by buildings of different styles and façade rhythms, the site is designed as a self-sufficient urban stage without a conventional axial dominance. Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt is the primary viewing direction, so the paving pattern and concentric arcs act as the project’s main graphic structure—readable both at pedestrian level and from surrounding windows. The surface is kept as open as possible for multi-directional pedestrian movement; a triangular lawn is slightly raised toward the proposed parking edge. The paving combines concrete pavers, small-format granite setts, and diabase blocks. Project role: architectural design development, 3D modeling (3ds Max), rendering, post-production, preparation of presentation materials.
